eBay Items Up

Starting small on eBay as selling our decals on the side was getting hard to keep up with. We have sold quite a decent amount of these over the past few months. So i thought putting it on eBay for the time being would be easier to maintain while i try to build a base of people who are keen on this kinda stuff. Will work on getting more up over time, will see how they go. You can check out the feed on the right, or visit the page below.

Fruity Loops Mobile Now Available for iOS

Fruity Loops (FL) is a popular Windows application for creating and producing music. It’s ease of use and generally low cost has made the title a staple for up-and-coming music producers and amateurs alike.

Even with its endless stacks of music-making titles, the iOS community has been calling for a mobile version of the application for quite some time. It looks like FL-lovers can rejoice as Image-Line just announced that Fruity Loops Studio Mobile will be available as of today in the App Store…

The software is built to allow users to create a variety of styles of music using multiple instruments. It’s even integrated with the desktop version of Fruity Loops so users can pass project files back and forth between their computers and their iDevices. One downfall is that you can’t import your own samples into the app just yet, but it’s coming.

The interface is well thought out and intuitive for previous FL users, but it certainly won’t appeal to the masses the way GarageBand has. The software is used so widely in the PC community though, that I can’t imagine it not being a hit. If you want to check out the new FL Mobile application, it’s $14.99 for the iPhone/iPod touch version, and $19.99 for the iPad edition.

Untrackerd: Jailbreak utility blocks iOS from storing recorded iPhone location data

Noted jailbreak developer Ryan Petrich has released a new jailbreak-only utility tonight named Untrackerd, which promises to block iOS and Apple’s ability to log your device’s location information. Petrich’s application comes in light of a new discovery that Apple’s mobile operating system tracks iOS device’s longitude and latitude. That location information is then stored on your computer’s hard drive and can later be accessed by just about anyone with the right computer skills or software. Untrackerd is available for free on the Cydia jailbreak store.

Untrackerd’s description in Cydia:

This package installs a daemon (process that can run in the background) to clean consolidated.db file) No new icons are added to your homescreen. There are no options to configure.

BlackBerry Owners Can Now Protect Their Data

If you happen to own a BlackBerry and want to ensure your data is securely backed up, RIM has just announced the launch of BlackBerry Protect for Australia.

The free app offers a host of protective measures for owners who lose, break or have their phone stolen, including the ability to remotely wipe the phone, remotely lock the device, locate the phone on a map, remotely switch to the handset’s loud ringer and wirelessly backup and restore your data.

Backup can include contacts, calendars, memos, tasks, browser bookmarks and text messages, although backing up those items may suck up some of your monthly data allowance.

For a free app, all BlackBerry owners should download this service today.

iPhone 5 News

Reuters is reporting that Apple will begin shipping the iPhone 5 in September.

Apple Inc suppliers will begin production of its next-generation iPhone in July this year, with the finished product likely to begin shipping in September, three people familiar with the matter said on Wednesday.

The new smartphone will have a faster processor but will look largely similar to the current iPhone 4, one of the people said.

Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo with Concord Securities has heard that “the iPhone 5 will include the faster A5 processor already found in the iPad 2, as well as a higher resolution 8 megapixel rear camera. He has also been told that Apple will switch to a Qualcomm baseband for both GSM and CDMA models, along with an improved antenna design.”

HTC HD7 Hitting Telstra March 29

The long awaited HTC HD7 is finally hitting Australian shelves next week. Along with the major WP7 update that begun overnight, this could be a much needed shot in the arm for the WP7 platform.

The phone will be available for $768 outright. It will also be available on 24 month contracts across a range of price points with monthly handset repayments, although we’re waiting for confirmation on exactly what those payments are.

Despite the fact the phone is locked to Telstra, you don’t actually have to keep the pre-loaded Telstra software on the phone. The other benefit is that the same Telstra billing options that were available on the Mozart – where app purchases are charged to your mobile phone bill.

Also worth noting is that the handset will have the most recent WP7 software update pre-installed when the phone hits shelves next week.
